Pooh.

Bongs & Noodles has no books in French. No books. In French. At all. Stuppid jerks. What kind of bookseller are they, and why do they love Spanish so damn much and hate all the other languages in the world except English?

I thought this post meant you'd gone to the physical store and found no books in French, so I went off to the website to find the foreign language section and point you triumphantly to a slew of them...and...you're right...they have none. Unbelievable. (As attested by my not having believed you.) They have a whole category for libros en espaƱol, but no category for foreign languages in general! Furthermore, if you search for 'foreign language', the first book that comes up is one of those Shakespeare for Lazy Morons editions of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

While I'm feeling smug anyway about being so completely right about the French books, let me take this opportunity to say that it's not very nice to say Shakespeare for Lazy Morons because a lot of people have many many things to do that don't involve reading Shakespeare, which is easy for YOU and it is easy for ME but it is not easy for some people who also have jobs and other complicated classes to contend with so might very conceivably desire to get the gist of one of Shakespeare's plays by reading a Shakespeare for Lazy Morons edition. It's not reading Shakespeare, it's just finding a quick way to get yourself through a class. You mean old tim.

*blows raspberry*

But people like that can read a synopsis! Synopses are fine, _I_ like synopses. What I find insulting is the line-by-line 'translation'.

Perhaps I will come visit, later in the spring or summer. Right now I am unable to think past 2 April, which is when my second qualifying exam is.
