I really wish I hadn't said that about Foucault. Now I'm going to feel compelled to check indexes for Oscar Wilde and Foucault and judge the books based on the ratio of Oscar Wilde mentions to Foucault mentions. Because Foucault always sounds so joyless and unfriendly even when he's making jokes, whereas Oscar Wilde always sounds funny even when he's having despair like in
De Profundis.
